Nashville Country Christmas—November 15 - 20, 2012
On our drive to the Quincy, we get acquainted with fellow travelers, all of us eager to enjoy the special activities that Nashville has waiting for us. “Music City USA” turns on the lights, over two million of them, for their Country Christmas celebration!
DAY 2—NASHVILLE MAGIC!
This morning we cross both the Mississippi River and the Ohio River. We arrive in Nashville this evening for an included show, that puts us in the holiday mood! Be ready to enjoy Lorrie Morgan’s Christmas Show and Dinner with traditional Christmas music, dancing and comedy. Our next three nights will be spent in Nashville. What a way to get into the spirit of the season!
DAY 3—CHRISTMAS MEMORIES
Good morning! Today we begin our two-day visit with a Nashville Guided City Tour, driving past homes of the stars and major sights in the city. After lunch, we have tickets to the first of our special Country Christmas events. ICE! features three-dimensional ice monuments and colorful ice sculptures. We find the biggest Christmas tree show in the city at Opryland Hotel’s magnificent Hall of Trees. Our evening is spent at the Grand Ole Opry, performed from the stage of the historic Ryman Auditorium.
DAY 4—MUSIC! MUSIC! MUSIC!
This morning we make a visit to Treasures for the Holidays craft, antique and art show! We might find the perfect gift for someone on our Christmas list. We relax with good food and holiday entertainment on the General Jackson Showboat Luncheon Cruise. This evening, the Radio City Rockettes will entertain you as part of our country Christmas! From the always popular “12 Days of Christmas” to acts including the “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” and the “Living Nativity,” the Radio City Rockettes offer an entertaining look at traditional holiday scenes!
DAY 5—HEADIN’ NORTH!
After two days, the sound of the Tennessee twang has become familiar, and it is with reluctance that we leave Nashville this morning. We overnight near Rockford, Illinois.
DAY 6—HOMEWARD BOUND
We’ll have a continental breakfast before we continue our journey home. We make our way through the rich farmland of northern Iowa. Then enjoy a delicious buffet luncheon, compliments of PTS Tours! We hop back in our comfortable ‘coach for the short journey north to Brainerd, laughing and smiling with memories of a Nashville Country Christmas!
